Research
Our organization will focus on conducting leading-edge research on environmental microbiology addressing problems in food facilities such as restaurants and fast food restaurants, food processing, farmers markets, and farms, theoretical research about health-related behavior. In addition, studies of microbial interactions that directly and indirectly influence human health, the economy; and environmental stewardship and sustainability. The goal also includes the study of the mechanism of pathogenies and virulence factors of different pathogens. Those goals will be done by working with the relevant industries nationally and internationally via working with state and government agencies.
